My best friend is currently pregnant with her third baby and I'm too ecstatic about it. She is a wonderful mother and that lil baby in there is super lucky. I'm, obviously, also lucky to have such a kind, caring, beautiful friend!
I've always had a soft spot for the intimacy, personality & love that comes through in family portrait sessions in one's home. This session is no exception & is in fact a perfect example of how lovely these sessions can turn out.
This is one of those sessions that leaves me feeling lucky to be a photographer and get to capture such beautiful moments. I hope you fall in love with these pictures as much as I did.
I was lucky enough to spend an evening with Rakell and Jose at Tibble Fork Reservoir. This is, to date, one of my favorite engagement sessions. Their company is magic as was the light this entire session.
Me & Mckenzie became internet friends a long time ago and recently (finally) starting hanging out in real life. Since then, I've had her in front of my camera many times. Making new friends is on my list of favorite things to do, but when they double as photo/model friends, I know I've really lucked out.
Make sure you also check out her photography Instagram here.
At the end of last summer, I offered a free session at my 5 year high school reunion, and the winner was this lovely couple! I was so excited when Cierra told me that she won and was getting married in the spring. Engagement sessions have always been my favorite!
We were lucky enough to shoot in a little nook of forrest up Big Cottonwood Canyon. It couldn't have gone any better.
When the The Reynolds family won my first giveaway, I knew I couldn't have asked for a better winner. This kind family was such a joy to meet and the mountain scenery looks great on them. This session makes me wish winter was here for forever.
Me and one of my very best friends Rachael drove to the top of the Alpine Loop, past Sundance to the Unitas National Forest. It's always great to have friends under your belt that are willing to brave the cold and literally slide down snow hills so you can take their picture. This is just the beginning of winter portraits that you will see from me this season and I couldn't be happier about it.
I was able to shoot a beautiful stylized shoot a few weeks back in Rock Canyon, located in the heart of provo. We lucked out to have beautiful models that are already engaged and very much in love! Our theme was filled with crystals, and pastels, and a floral chandelier. All of the talented vendors are listed below.
Film gets the best of me. The light, the grain, it's all so lovely. I shot these pictures on a medium format Holga, Ilford HP5 400 ISO. A few are double exposures. All were developed and scanned by The Find Lab.
